Child Sex Assault Accusation For Sullivan County Man
Police said the abuse happened over several years.
MONTICELLO, NY — A Sullivan County man was accused of sexually assaulting a child over several years.
The New York State Police Child Abuse Unit in Sullivan County said Friday that Lavaun Weir, 31, of Monticello, was charged with predatory sexual assault of a child, a felony.
An investigation found Weir had engaged in a course of deviant sexual conduct with a child less than 13 years old.

The abuse occurred over several years, police said.
Weir was arraigned in the Town of Fallsburg Court and sent to Sullivan County Jail without bail.

He is due back in court July 26.
