Kim In Ok’s philosophy of slowness emerges through the motif of waiting, inspired by her repeated journeys between Seoul and her studio in Hanggeum-ri, Yangpyeong. Trains and buses appear as quiet symbols of suspended time, moving gently across open plains beyond rhythmic rows of trees. Her landscapes distill nature into simplified forms circles and triangles refined through decades of practice transforming memory and emotion into symbolic clarity. Small houses beneath towering trees suggest imagined worlds shaped by innocence and introspection. Rather than depicting specific places, Waiting and The Road to Hanggeum-ri offer contemplative spaces of softened nostalgia, inviting viewers into moments of quiet reflection. by&nbsp;S,&nbsp;Alexander, Ph.D., is an art historian, poet, and curator, with writings featured in Frieze New York, The Armory Show, Skira Editore, and on Jenny Holzer. and&nbsp;Yoon Jin-sup&nbsp;

Mezzo Soprano Daveda Browne, Tenors: Chauncey Packer and Norman Shankle, Baritones: Phillip Bullock, Eric Greene, and Antonio Watts, and Bass-Baritone Virdell Williams. Composer Jerrell Gray and Mary Pinto will be at the Piano. The event will be on Saturday, January 17th at Christ and St. Stephen's Church, 120 W 69th St., from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. 
The Program will feature a dynamic blend of celebrated Opera selections; expressive Art Songs; timeless pieces from The Great American Songbook, including Leonard Bernstein; and powerful Spirituals. This event honors MLK Day and aims to inspire community participation, reminding everyone of music's role in unity and reflection.

Join us for the second of a three-part parenting series!
If you are in the midst of parenting a child under two years old, this interactive presentation is for you. Spend an evening with two seasoned early childhood educators, Emily Boucher and Amy Mockbee, who have parented and worked with young children themselves. Let’s get real about the joys and challenges of early childhood; learn how you can build the parent-child connection, foster learning, and make these years breezy, not stormy. Meet fellow parents, and give time and space to be perfectly imperfect parents.&nbsp;
For our winter session, we will tackle the day-to-day work of parenting a thriving toddler, particularly as the colder months drag on.&nbsp;
Topics of discussion will include:
<ul><li>engaging a toddler (with or without screens) so home life can feel positive&nbsp;</li><li>creating space for growth - for parents and young children alike, through routines and approaches that make sense</li><li>considering how toddlers connect and socialize - what is expected, what is problematic, and how to face the common pitfalls</li></ul>

From Boston to Sydney, the&nbsp;Los Angeles Guitar Quartet has become one of America's premier instrumental ensembles. PSC is honored to host once more the beloved&nbsp;Los Angeles Guitar Quartet this Sunday at The Town Hall&nbsp;with an eclectic program of music ranging from Copland to Coleridge-Taylor. The concert will take place IN-PERSON&nbsp;Sunday, February 1&nbsp;at 2:00 PM at The Town Hall, 123 W 43rd St. It will be available&nbsp;VIRTUALLY on Tuesday, February 3&nbsp;thru Monday, February 9.
