Fire Breaks Out In High Rise Near Columbus Circle
The fire broke out on the third floor of a 19-story building early Saturday morning.

MIDTOWN, NY — A fire broke out in a high rise building near Columbus Circle early Saturday morning, according to the FDNY.
The fire was in a 19 story building at 350 W 57th Street at the intersection of 57th Street at 9th Avenue. The fire broke out on the third floor of the building around 2:50 a.m., an FDNY spokesperson said.
About 126 firefighters responded to the second-alarm fire that was brought under control a little over two hours later at 5:01 a.m.

The FDNY spokesperson said a police officer was seriously injured at the scene of the fire. An NYPD spokesperson told Patch he did not have information about a police officer being injured at the scene of the fire.
