Food Cart Bursts Into Flames Near Hudson Yards, FDNY Says

Nobody was injured during the fire.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A food cart located across the street from newly-opened megadevelopment Hudson Yards burst into flame Monday evening, an FDNY spokesman said. Welcome to Manhattan, Hudson Yards!

The cart fire erupted shortly before 6 p.m. on the corner of West 30th Street and 10th Avenue, an FDNY spokesman said. A witness video from the scene showed heavy flames and thick black smoke shooting from the top of the cart.

Firefighters had the blaze under control around 7:10 p.m. and nobody was injured during the fire, an FDNY spokesman said.
