Man On Bike Wanted In Midtown Anti-Asian Incident
A man on a bicycle made anti-Asian statements at a woman in Midtown and bumped her with his bike, according to police.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are looking for a man on a bike in connection with an anti-Asian incident in Midtown that is being investigated as a hate crime.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m. on Sept. 29, when a 49-year-old woman was walking near the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 35th Street.
An unidentified man on a bicycle approached her from behind and made an anti-Asian statement as his bicycle made contact with her, police said. The woman was uninjured and the man rode away on his bike.

Police released surveillance footage on Thursday showing the man shortly before the incident, which is being investigated by the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force.
