Man In Critical Condition After Hit By Midtown Train: Police

A man fell from a train platform inside the Herald Square subway station and was hit by a train, officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A man was critically struck by a train in Midtown Wednesday afternoon, police said.

At about 12:40 p.m., the man, believed to be in his 40s, fell off of a southbound D train platform inside the 34 St-Herald Square subway station and was hit by a train, police said.

Officials said the man was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

Police had no further details to provide as of Wednesday afternoon, but they confirmed that the incident did not appear to be criminal.
