Man Harasses, Threatens To Stab Woman In Midtown: Police

A man hurled the N-word at a woman in Midtown and threatened to stab her with a knife, police said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police asked for help identifying a man accused of harassing and threatening a woman in Midtown last week.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, the victim, a 38-year-old woman, was near the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 43rd Street.

The unidentified suspect approached and began hurling racial slurs, saying, "I hate n-----s," according to police. He then threatened to stab her with a knife, though he did not display a weapon, police said.

The incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
