Man Mugged In Front Of Hell's Kitchen Home, Police Say

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A man standing in front of his Hell's Kitchen building was beaten and robbed early Tuesday morning, police said.

The resident was standing in front of his home on West 46th Street and Ninth Avenue around 4:30 a.m. when an unknown man approached him and punched him in the face, police said. The mugger then stole the man's iPhone and fled the scene, police said.

EMS took the 30-year-old victim to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.

Police describe the suspect as a man with a beard that stands about 5-foot-9 and weighs around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, black jacket and black jeans, police said. The NYPD released a photo of the suspect (seen above) taken by a security camera.
