Man Threatens Hell's Kitchen Bartender With Gun, Police Say

The threat came after a customer and bartender got into an argument at popular nightlife spot Rudy's Bar.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who threatened a Hell's Kitchen bartender with a gun following a dispute, police said.

The unknown man got into an argument with a bartender at popular Ninth Avenue haunt Rudy's Bar during the early morning hours of Monday, November 12, police said. When the bartender kicked the man out of the business, he lifted up his shirt to reveal a firearm in his waistband, police said.

The unruly customer never pulled the gun or fired any shots, but instead fled the scene, police said. The bartender did not suffer any injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a man in his 30s with a medium complexion and medium build who was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black "I love NY" hoodie, dark jeans and black sneakers.
