Marijuana Dispensary Explores Times Square Location: Report
The dispensary company MedMen, which already has a Fifth Avenue location, may take over a Sbarro's pizza in Times Square.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A California-based marijuana dispensary company that already has stores in Manhattan is considering expanding its reach in the city by taking over a location in Times Square, according to reports.
MedMen is currently eyeing an expansion at 1606 Broadway, located between West 48th and 49th streets, Crain's New York Business first reported. The Broadway storefront is currently occupied by a Sbarro's pizza.
A Times Square location would put MedMen in one of the most heavily-trafficked areas in New York City. The city's marijuana laws allow dispensaries to sell non-smoking products to New Yorkers with valid medical marijuana licenses, according to the Crain's report. The deal is not yet finalized.
