HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A new seven-story building with dozens of apartments is coming to Hell's Kitchen — but the parking garage it is being constructed atop will remain in place, plans show.

Plans filed with the city last week call for a 66-foot-tall building containing 44 apartments to be built at 415 West 44th St., between Ninth and 10th avenues.

The two-story garage that currently occupies the site has been there since 1910. Rather than being demolished, the garage will be incorporated into the building, according to the plans, which were filed by owner John Young of developer Emmut Properties.
