Burglar Broke Into NYC Home Of Paul Manafort's Banker, NYPD Says
The man broke into the Midtown home of David Fallarino, who has business ties with former Trump aide Paul Manafort.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD has released photos of a man wanted in connection with two burglaries in Midtown Manhattan. One of the targeted homes belongs to a banker with business ties to Paul Manafort — the recently-convicted, one-time aide to President Donald Trump.
Both burglaries occurred on the late night and early morning of Aug. 27 and 28 at homes located just blocks away from each other, police said. Residents of the apartments were at home during the robberies but nobody was injured, police said.
The first robbery occurred at an apartment on West 56th Street and Eighth Avenue, police said. The man broke into the fourth-floor home by entering an unlocked door and stole a skateboard, cellphone and laptop valued at $2,950, police said. Residents of the apartment confronted the man and chased him out of the home, but were unable to retrieve the stolen items, police said.

The man then burglarized a home on West 58th Street and Seventh Avenue about three-and-a-half hours later, police said. He broke into the home by gaining access to a terrace and stole a briefcase, iPad and a pair of sneakers valued at $2,050, police said. A resident was awakened by the sound of the front door slamming shut and found that his terrace door was left open, police said.
The second home that was burglarized is the residence of banker David Fallarino, who told the New York Post that the nighttime robbery left his wife "bugging out." Federal prosecutors have said that Fallarino aided Paul Manafort in conducting bank fraud schemes, but the Citizens Bank employee was not charged with any crimes, CNN reported.

Manafort was convicted of falsifying documents to secure a $3.4 million loan from Citizens Bank, according to the report.
