Rockefeller Center To Host Artisan Bazaar This Weekend

MIDTOWN, NY — Looking for a fun event to enjoy with friends or family in Midtown this weekend? If you said, "yes," then you're in luck.

Brooklyn Pop-up, an outdoor artisan market, will be at the plaza at Rockefeller Center this Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day.

According to event organizers, the market will feature a revolving group of Brooklyn and New York-based creators of contemporary fashion, home goods and children’s products, in addition to jewelry vendors, artisanal distillers and more.

While browsing the market, visitors can also enjoy the works of on-site artists who specialize in balloon modeling and origami, music by DJ Rustam Ospanoff, and view the sculpture SHARE created by Brooklyn-based artist KAWS, which will be on display at Rockefeller Center’s Center Plaza until Oct. 8.

The SHARE sculpture is an 18-foot-tall bronze figure featuring two of the artist’s iconic motifs, “COMPANION” and “BFF”. The installation coincides with the artist’s recent survey at the Brooklyn Museum, KAWS: WHAT PARTY.
