SEE: The Goofiest-Looking Dogs At The Westminster Dog Show

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Day one of the 2019 Westminster Dog Show has come and gone, gracing New York City with some of the goofiest looking pooches on the Earth as they compete for the coveted "best in show" prize.

Competitors at the dog show are judged on how well they match their breed's ideal beauty standards, which leads to some dramatic looks at handlers primp their dogs for hours to achieve the perfect appearance.
