Van Leeuwen Ice Cream To Open Rockefeller Center Store In 2019

The Brooklyn-based ice cream company will open an 1,700-square-foot store in the Midtown hotspot.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — An ice cream company that was founded as a single truck in Brooklyn continues to spread its reach throughout New York City. Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream will open one of its largest locations to date in Midtown's Rockefeller Center in 2019.

The Rockefeller Center Van Leeuwen will be located in a 1,700-square-foot space at 1250 Avenue of the Americas near the corner of West 50th Street, real estate firm Lee & Associates NYC said. Lee & Associates aided Van Leeuwen in securing a ten-year lease for the location.

"The quality of Van Leeuwen’s product is evident in the crowds that can be seen at nearly every location," Jaime Schultz of Lee & Associates said in a statement. "I believe consumers are mindful of choosing a quality product and that is linked to the success of the brand."
