Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School hosted its annual fourth grade baby scarecrow fundraiser. The eager students showcased their creative efforts in the hallways where the dozens of scarecrows, stuffed with straw and love, are on display. Students and staff were invited to visit the scarecrow patch and vote for their favorite one by donating coins. The more than two-decades-old tradition has raised thousands of dollars for the Rocky Point Teachers’ Association Kids in Need Fund. This year’s handiwork raised $1,075.
