The Week Ahead: School, Town Board and Civic Meetings

A look at some upcoming events this week in the area.

1. After canceling last week due to weather concerns, the Miller Place Board of Education will hold a budget workshop Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

2. The Town of Brookhaven will hold its regular town board meeting at 5 p.m. at Town Hall on Tuesday.

3. The Shoreham-Wading River board will hold a meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the high school library.

4. We all love food but we also want to be healthy. Head to the Heritage Center Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for strategies on how to eat what you love and still achieve health, wellness and weight loss.

5. Keep up on all the happenings in Sound Beach at the civic meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the fire house.
