John Stanley Sosinski Passed On July 31, 2021

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather was a very much respected man in Montauk and all over Long Island.

It is with great sadness that I report that John Stanley Sosinski, Montauk Resident has passed on. His son Anthony Sosinski of Montauk said his father “loved and treasured time with family.”

80, John S. Sosinski of Montauk, NY entered eternal life on July 31, 2021.

John loved fishing, boating, driving, and could fix or build anything. He had a lust for learning and a drive to execute what he learned.

John graduated from Manual Training High School and upon graduation enlisted in the United Stated Coast Guard where he was a Boatswains Mate on the Coast Guard Cutter Evergreen. He was honorably discharged then moved on with his career as a Teamster for 40 years. As a Teamster he drove a tractor trailer for Georgia Pacific until his retirement.

He is survived by his three children: daughter, Jeanine Sheppard (nee Sosinski), son, Anthony Sosinski, and daughter, Michelle Sosinski.
Grandchildren: Melanie Sosinski Brown (Justin), Jessica Hope Madsen, Dylan Sosinski, Emma Rose Olson (Jamee), Meghan Carol Sheppard.
Great Grand Children: Madeline Brown, Carly Olson, Juliette Brown and Connor Olson.

He is predeceased by his sister Ruthanne Dengler (nee Sosinski) (Kenny) and was the son of John Sosinski and Anna Sosinski Holtz(nee Tuma).

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday (8/19) at Yardley&Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Christian Mass/Funeral will be held on Friday (8/20) at 10am, St. Therese RC Church in Montauk.
