Fire Rips Through Mount Vernon Home
BREAKING: Multiple fire departments are battling the blaze with the wind chill temperature 5 below zero. Photos and video inside story.

MOUNT VERNON, NY – A massive fire tore through a Mount Vernon home Monday afternoon.
Numerous fire departments responded to the blaze, which broke out around 3:15 p.m. at 436 E. 5th Street at the corner of Garden Avenue.
An elderly woman was rescued from the home and taken to the hospital, ABC 7 reported. She is expected to survive.
