Lottery Opens For Affordable Rental Apartments In Westchester County

YONKERS, NY — St. Joseph's Medical Center announced that there are lottery chances for affordable rentals in Yonkers now open and applications are being accepted from those who qualify.

The residential building is being erected at 10 School Street in Yonkers. Two studios, ten one-bedrooms and 20 two-bedrooms are now available. Amenities will include a community center with exercise room, a library, a computer room, a community room and on-site laundry facilities.

Monthly rental prices for the affordable units available are:

• Studio: $934
• One-bedroom: $1,212
• Two-bedroom: $1,361

The rentals are available to those with 50-60 percent of average monthly household income ranges based on household size:

• Studio; 1-person household: $37,360 - $48,550
• One-bedroom; 1-person household: $48,480 - $58,260
• One-bedroom; 2-person household: $48,480 - $66,540
• Two-bedroom; 2-person household: $54,440 - $66,540
• Two-bedroom; 3-person household: $54,440 - $74,880
• Two-bedroom; 4-person household: $54,440 - $83,160

Applicants must be over 18 years old. Apartments are available in June and the deadline for applications is August 31.
