MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. (May 25, 2016) – The Mount Vernon City School District now regularly sends emails to district families and community members. For those who haven’t received the district’s latest email news, or perhaps would like to add more email addresses to ensure they are getting updates, now is the time to register to receive district news.

The school district emails its weekly Week In Review, its monthly Knight Times newsletter, bond project updates, superintendent messages, urgent messages and weather alerts, among other notifications. The information goes out to both parents of students and other residents in Mount Vernon interested in receiving school district news. It’s an exciting time for the Mount Vernon City School District, with the passage of the $108 million bond in March and the district implementing its 20/20 Vision. This means there will be exciting news, changes and programs for students at all grade levels.

The news is valuable to parents, of course, who should keep themselves informed. However, the updates are not just for families of enrolled students. The school district is eager to share its good news and exciting updates with the community at large.
