Monday, July 29

• The Clarkstown Town Board and Clarkstown School Board are holding a special joint meeting on the Palisades Center tax certiorari issue.  The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the school district offices. The boards will go into executive session and then are expected to reconvene in public session to vote on a settlement of the mall’s property appeal.

Tuesday, July 30

• Rockland County Legislative Committee Meetings include: Public Safety at 5:15 p.m., Multi Services at 6 p.m., Government Operations at 6:30 p.m., Planning & Public Works at 7 p.m. and Budget & Finance at 7:15 p.m.

Wednesday, July 30

• The Clarkstown Planning Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in town hall.

Thursday, August 1

•  Valdimir Leon’s appeal of the county Board of Elections’ decision to remove him from the Democratic ballot in the county executive’s race is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in Rockland County Supreme Court.
