Nanuet Little League Marks 54th Year

Nanuet Little Leaguers marched in the annual Opening Day Parade from the George Miller Elementary School to the Lake Nanuet Complex.

Hundreds of Nanuet Little Leaguers ignored the chill in the air Saturday morning as they marched from the George Miller Elementary School to the Lake Nanuet fields. The annual Opening Day parade included tee ball, baseball and softball players, team managers and coaches and some parents and siblings escorted by Clarkstown Police cars and Nanuet Fire Department trucks along Blauvelt Road. At the entrance to the complex, they were greeted by the Rockland Boulders mascot, Boulder Bird.

The opening day ceremonies recognized the 2011 and 2012 Alicia T. Brady Memorial Tournament winning softball teams. Samantha Frieri sang the national anthem. League President Frank Frieri thanked special field sponsors Palisades Urgent Care and Schultz Ford Lincoln.
