Nanuet, Nyack, Garnerville Residents Indicted: Rockland Court Report

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe announced the recent Rockland County Grand Jury indictments of Nanuet, Nyack, Garnerville, Stony Point and Spring Valley residents on a variety of charges ranging from burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny to criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Javier Monzon, 17, of Nanuet and Ciara Westervelt, 18, of Nyack were indicted on charges of second degree Burglary. Westervelt was also indicted for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Zugibe said on October 25th, the defendants, acting individually and together allegedly entered a residence located on Spruce Drive in the Town of Clarkstown.  On November 4th, Westervelt was allegedly found in possession of more than $1,000 worth of property stolen from the home. 

Beatriz Liz, 19, of Garnerville was indicted by a grand jury on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. According to Zugibe, she was a passenger in an automobile was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations in the Town of Haverstraw on January 19th. A small amount of marijuana was reported found in the vehicle. Liz allegedly had 55 oxycodone pills in a plastic bag in her possession.

Raymond Mann, 40, of Spring Valley was indicted on Grand Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property charges. Mann is accused of stealing a women’s wallet from her pocketbook while they were in the New Street Laundry in Nyack, and using one of her credit cards to buy items at another Nyack business. Zugibe said the incident occurred on May 26th at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Donald Solomon, 54, of Stony Point was indicted on charges of Criminal Possession of Marijuana. A search warrant was executed on May 3rd for Solomon’s home where allegedly about nine ounces of Marijuana was found in a bedroom.
