Nanuet Picks New School Trustees: Election 2024

Here are school budget and board vote results.

NANUET, NY — Nanuet residents approved a 2024-25 school budget on Tuesday and elected four trustees to the Board of Education.

The $90.4 million proposed budget was approved with 79 percent of the vote. The budget is less than a 3 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.29 percent hike in the school tax levy. That is within the state's tax cap for the district so the budget only needed to be approved by a majority vote.

School board incumbents Christine Camillieri, Stephanie A. Lee, and Geoff Gaiss sought re-election. Also on the ballot: Raymondo E. Pappalardi and Kimberli Madden.
