Nanuet Residents Earn Honors

Nanuet residents earned academic honors and degrees recently.

Keith Watford was named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven for the spring 2013 semester. Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the Dean's List.

Siena College named Katharine Considine, an undeclared Arts major, Colleen Horan, a Psychology major, Jacqueline Kelly, an Environmental Studies major, and Christine Stocks, an Economics BS major, to its Spring 2013 Dean's List.

Binghamton University student Dorothy Manevich recently received the Annette Van Howe Award for Highest Academic Achievement by a Junior Woman, an award presented to a woman in her junior year in Harpur College of Arts and Sciences for having the highest scholastic average in her class.

Conor Horan has been named to the Spring 2013 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Horan is a Legal Studies major. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Fairfield University has announced the following local residents have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2013 semester: Kimberly O'Toole and Cristelle Sens-Castet.

The State University of New York at Potsdam awarded nearly 900 undergraduate and graduate degrees during its 2013 Commencement ceremonies on May 18 and 19. Michael Ruvolo earned a degree in Business Administration.

Benjamin Pernick of Nanuet participated in Berklee College of Music's 2013 Commencement held recently in Boston at Boston University's Agganis Arena. Pernick received a Degree in Music Therapy.

Kellianne McLoughlin graduated in May 2013 from Hofstra University with a BBA in Finance.

Shefene Wright received an Associate of Arts from Oxford College of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., at its 168th commencement ceremony on May 11, 2013.

Kathleen Martens was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science: Accounting, at Sacred Heart University's Annual Commencement on May 18th and 19th.

The following local residents graduated as part of the 164th commencement of the University of Delaware on May 25: Jennifer Fastiggi, Emily Liebert and Joshua Silberbush. The University's Dean's List for Spring 2013 included: Jennifer Fastiggi, Daniel Kardashian, Emily Liebert, Jamie Moelis and Joshua Silberbush.

The spring semester Dean's List at Bryant University included Sarah Schucker, a sophomore in Marketing and Thomas Whalen, a sophomore.

Priya Vyas, a third-year student in the physician assistant program in RIT's College of Health Sciences and Technology, made the Dean's List for the Spring 2013 quarter. 

The University of Scranton has announced its Dean's List for the 2013 spring semester. The list includes Kasey Fitzgerald, a sophomore with a occupational therapy major in Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies, Kerry Mitchell, a sophomore with a nursing major in Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies and Megan Straut, a sophomore with a nursing major in Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies.

The following local residents are among the 1528 students who earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2013 semester at SUNY Oneonta: Brian Doran, Louis Pratt, Adrian Rodriguez and Stephanie Schulweis.

Springfield College has named Connor McLaughlin to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2013 term. McLaughlin is studying Movement and Sport Studies.
