How did you come up with name?
I came up with the name of the company because I would like people to ‘go away often’. I was actually surprised to see it available when I was checking for domain names for a website.
What business are you In?
Why start a business in this town?
I started my business because I live here and I want to make sure to be of great service to people in the community and beyond.
What is the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
I am a full-service travel agent. I specialize and family destinations and group travel as well as cruises.
What has been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
The most difficult thing I have found so far is getting my name out into the community. Some people who are at my friends do not even realize I’m a travel agent and that always makes me wonder what they’re doing! I say that though in a kidding way because not everyone has time to know what everyone else is doing.
How does your business give back to the community?
My proudest achievement so far is getting repeat client business. Getting repeat client business and referrals is obviously the greatest way to grow a business such as mine.
I give back to the community by appearing at various Street Fair events, giving away prizes for tricky trays and other fundraisers for non-profits, and for being there for my community and for people who live here in order to have them have the greatest vacation experience as possible. My client base is not just in Rockland County however, and I’m very proud of that as well.
