The Clarkstown-funded project aims to improve pedestrian safety and walkability for about 2,500 households, creating a safer, more connected network across key Nanuet streets.

• Clarkstown Sees Jump in Code Enforcement Fines (rocklandtimes.com) — If you live or own property in Nanuet, expect tougher code enforcement as Clarkstown collected a record $261,000 in fines in 2025 and plans to expand its enforcement staff. Officials say they’re targeting illegal occupancy, overcrowding, rental registry violations, and zoning issues, and urge residents to report suspected problems through the MyClarkstown 311 app or Building Department.

• Sewage Improvements, Home Rule Authority Voting at Final 2025 Legislature Meeting (rocklandtimes.com) — Nanuet homeowners could see modest new sewer costs as Rockland County advances an $87.8 million upgrade for Sewer District No. 1, which serves much of Clarkstown. Lawmakers also requested state approval to create a new CR Clean Water & Sewer Authority, shifting control of sewer budgets and borrowing to a local board that would include Clarkstown’s supervisor and area residents.
