Hackensack Man, Dog Died In Palisades Parkway Crash: NYSP Update
State police ask anyone who may have seen these cars or witnessed the crash to call them.
NANUET, NY — Three cars southbound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway collided for an unknown reason Thursday night, killing one man and his dog, New York State police said.
The 10 p.m. crash near Exit 10 involved a burgundy 1992 BMW, a black 2001 black BMW, both with New Jersey plates, and a 2023 gray Nissan Rogue, with New York plates.
All three vehicles came to a rest on the west shoulder in the southbound lanes. The driver of the black BMW, identified as Cyrus A. Silverio, 20, from Hackensack, New Jersey was declared dead at the scene along with his dog.

State police are asking anyone who may have seen these vehicles prior to the crash or who may have witnessed the crash to please call Senior Investigator Carmen Goffredo at 845-344-5300 and reference SJS #11370980.
The 10 p.m. crash involved three southbound vehicles, near Exit 10 in the town of Clarkstown, state police said.

The crash, clean-up and investigation snarled traffic for hours and closed lanes on the parkway until 6 a.m. Friday morning, News12 reported.
