The first phase of the Rockland County Highway Department's resurfacing project on North Middletown Road is complete. The county milled and then resurfaced North Middletown Road between Route 59 up to Smith Road over the past week. On Monday, crews moved further up to South Little Tor Road beween Brighton Lane and New Valley Road where they began milling.  That work left raised manholes which slowed drivers as they navigated around them. Signage advises motorists the work will continue through May 13.
