Weather Hinders Firefighter Efforts In Spring Valley Blaze
No one was in the residence at the time of the fire, officials said.
SPRING VALLEY, NY — A fire destroyed a house on Summit Park Road Sunday night, officials said.
Emergency personnel responded to the house fire around 10 p.m. Sunday, according to the Facebook page of the Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps, which serves Ramapo and Clarkstown.
Firefighters had to contend with weather-related challenges, including high winds and freezing temperatures.

The residence was not occupied at the time. No injuries were reported among the first responders, officials said.
Hillcrest, Monsey, New City, Spring Valley, Suffern and Tallman fire departments also assisted with the effort.
