Fire Rips Through Ritzy Central Park South Hotel: FDNY
Smoke eaters battled a kitchen fire in Park Lane hotel that spread to two other floors through ducts early Friday, officials said.

NEW YORK CITY — A fire ripped through the lower floors of a ritzy Central Park South hotel early Friday, authorities said.
No one suffered injuries in the two-alarm blaze inside Park Lane hotel, which was evacuated, FDNY officials said and CBS New York reported.
The fire sparked about 2:45 a.m. inside a second-floor kitchen, authorities said.

More than 100 firefighters and EMS members responded and found that the blaze that spread to the hotel's third and fourth floors with duct work, fire officials said.
Smoke eaters managed to get the fire under control about 4:15 a.m., according to FDNY information.
