2 $1 Million Powerball Tickets Were Sold In NYC: Check Your Numbers
The New York Lottery said the tickets were sold in city stores.
NEW YORK CITY, NY – Two Powerball players bought $1 million-winning tickets in New York City, the New York Lottery said Thursday.
The tickets were bought at a Hudson News next to the Port Authority at 625 Eighth Avenue and at Chunnu News at 700 Third Avenue at East 44th Street.
A New York Lottery spokeswoman was unable to say if the prizes had yet been claimed or when the tickets had been bought.

Millions of people played Powerball before Wednesday's drawing as its jackpot soared to more than $700 million, the second highest in the game's history.

A $758 million win was claimed in Massachusetts. A third second prize ticket, sold in Cheektowaga in upstate Erie County, also won $1 million.
In New York state, 730,339 tickets won a prize of some amount.
The winning numbers in Wednesday's draw were 6, 7, 16, 23 and 26; the Powerball number is 4. If you're not one of the city's two lucky $1 million winners, Saturday's draw has a $40 million prize.
