2 Men Injured In Separate Attacks On NYC Subway, NYPD Says

The attacks happened in Queens and Manhattan, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — Two men were left injured in separate attacks in the New York City subway on Tuesday, police said.

The first incident happened at the Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard station in Queens around 12:25 a.m.

An alleged suspect is accused of hitting a 32-year-old man in the head with a metal pole aboard a northbound A train, police said.

The man suffered a cut to his neck following the attack. He refused medical attention at the scene.

After the attack, police arrested Wesley Saint-Vil, 27, and charged him with felony assault.

Also, on Tuesday morning, a 65-year-old man was attacked and punched by an unidentified suspect after an argument escalated into a physical confrontation, police said.

The 65-year-old was punched in the back of the head. He got off the train to receive medical attention.

The attacker stayed on the train and remains at large. He is described as being in his 30s, according to police.

An investigation remains ongoing.
