Ample Hills Recalls Half Pints Of Ice Cream Over Peanut Issue
Ample Hills recalled a batch of its Peppermint Pattie ice cream that may contain peanuts, even though they aren't listed as an ingredient.
NEW YORK — Ample Hills Creamery has recalled a batch of its Peppermint Pattie ice cream that may have peanuts inside — even though they aren't listed in the ingredients.
The popular ice cream brand is recalling all half pints with the code 19169 printed on the bottom and a best-by date of 6/18/20, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
No illnesses have been reported, the FDA said, but people with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of experiencing a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the ice cream.
