Boy, 14, Injured Subway Surfing At NYC Subway Station: Police

The 14-year-old boy was riding on top of a southbound 7 train when his head hit a beam on an overhang at the station, police said.

NEW YORK CITY, NY — A 14-year-old subway surfer was injured this past weekend, police said.

The incident happened in Queens on Sunday as a train was arriving at 111th Street Station around 4:30 p.m., police said.

The 14-year-old boy was riding on top of a southbound 7 train when his head hit a beam on an overhang at the station, police said.

The boy was transported to Elmhurst Hospital and is in stable condition as of Monday afternoon, police said.
