NEW YORK CITY — A 15-year-old boy died while subway surfing atop a train crossing the Williamsburg Bridge, according to police and reports.

The teen was run over by a J train Monday evening after he was struck by a steel beam on the bridge and fell between subway cars, the New York Daily News first reported.

NYPD officials hadn’t released the boy’s name and many details about the incident by Tuesday morning.

The apparent subway surfing accident unfolded about 6:45 p.m. and caused delays on the J and M lines, according to an MTA tweet.
