Prisoner Escapes Bronx Hospital With Handcuffs On Wrist, Cops Say

Police are looking for 27-year-old Kevin Taylor after his Friday morning escape.

BELMONT, BRONX — Police are searching for a Bronx man who escaped from the hospital where he was being treated and held. Kevin Taylor, 27, fled St. Barnabus Hospital in Belmont around 6:39 a.m. Friday with handcuffs still attached to one wrist, the NYPD said.

Police arrested Taylor within the 52nd Precinct in the northern Bronx on Thursday. He faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana, the NYPD said.

Taylor was last seen wearing a green hooded sweater and ripped black jeans, police said. He stands about 5-foot-11, weighs 210 pounds and has a dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair.
