Zohran Mamdani Comes Out On Top In Historic Victory
Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani defeated former governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa to become the city's next mayor Tuesday night.

Mamdani netted over a million votes and 50 percent of the vote. The Queens assemblyman will become the first person of South Asian descent and the first Muslim to be mayor.
The 34-year-old told his supporters that they just toppled "a political dynasty" referring to the former governor.

New Yorkers Decide On Six Ballot Proposals
New Yorkers voted to pass four of the six proposals on New York City's 2025 general election ballots, including the controversial proposals that would expedite affordable housing by shortening mandatory public review processes in the city.
The ballot proposal to digitize city maps is also projected to pass.

Reported Bomb Threat Grounds Flight At NYC Airport
A Delta flight set to depart LaGuardia on Tuesday night for Minneapolis was grounded overnight in New York by a reported bomb threat, according to authorities.
Crew members reported the threat around 8 p.m. out of Terminal C as the plane was leaving, according to Port Authority police spokesperson Amanda Kwan, who said emergency personnel responded and cleared the aircraft around 10 p.m.

Police ID's Teen Fatally Shot At Hell's Kitchen Apartment Complex
Police have identified the teenager shot to death in a Hell's Kitchen apartment complex this past weekend.
According to the NYPD, the teen was shot in the head inside a stairwell in Harborview Terrace, a public housing complex on West 55th Street and 10th Avenue, at 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
Medics rushed the girl to Mount Sinai West, where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.
