Cop Shoots Himself In The Bronx, Police Say
The officer is likely to die, the NYPD said.

THE BRONX, NY — An NYPD officer is likely to die after shooting himself in the Bronx Friday morning, police said. The officer was taken to Jacobi Hospital after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound just before 11 a.m., NYPD spokespeople said.
The incident occurred in the 47th Precinct near the Bronx's border with Westchester County, police said.
The NYPD did not give an address, but ABC 7 reported that the off-duty cop shot himself at the NYPD's Auto Crime and Narcotics Division at 500 Abbot St. in Wakefield.
