Anna Sorokin Sues Ex-Attorney Writing Book 'The Anna Delvey Reality'
Anna "Delvey" Sorokin claims her former lawyer is withholding items from her case file, court records show.

NEW YORK CITY — Anna Sorokin, the infamous so-called "fake heiress," has renewed a very real lawsuit against a former lawyer she says is writing a book called "Social Antagonization Is the Worst Form of Oppression: The Anna Delvey Reality.'"
Sorokin claimed in a Wednesday court filing that now-disbarred attorney Audrey Thomas kept items from Sorokin's case file.
The petition argues that Thomas told media outlets that Sorokin is "an ungrateful b----" who only wants the files to market herself.

Thomas also has plans to release a book on Sorokin's birthday, the filing claims.
"Respondent plans to title the book 'Social Antagonization Is the Worst Form of Oppression: The Anna Delvey Reality,'" the filing states.

Ronald Nir, an attorney for Thomas, declined to comment on what he called an ongoing dispute. He said many items were actually in possession of another attorney.
Sorokin went by "Anna Delvey" as she fooled her way into New York City's upper crust by claiming she was a German heiress.
In reality, Sorokin originally hailed from Russia and settled in Germany with her modest family.
The stranger-than-fiction story prompted magazine profiles, a criminal trial, an early release from a four-year sentence and an immigration fight, as well as the Netflix series "Inventing Anna" in 2022.
Court documents show Sorokin previously sued to get Thomas, who she had fired as her attorney, to cough up files, including audio recordings of her U.S. Immigration Court hearings.
But that faltered when Thomas wasn't served with a court order, prompting Sorokin to refile the case, documents state.
