5 Injured In Williamsburg Apartment Building Blaze: FDNY
The cause of an intense blaze Friday morning in a Montrose Avenue building is still under investigation, according to the FDNY.

NEW YORK CITY — Five people, including three firefighters, were injured in an intense fire inside a Williamsburg apartment building Friday morning, FDNY officials said.
Dramatic videos posted on the Citizen app show flames shooting up from the Montrose Avenue building's windows and roof before firefighters got the blaze under control about 8:49 a.m., officials said.
The fire began about 7:15 a.m. on the second and third floors in 236 Montrose Ave., near Bushwick Avenue, officials said.

FDNY firefighters quickly escalated their response to a three-alarm fire as the flames spread through the building, officials said.
The fire caused the building to start shaking or vibrating, and firefighters requested a structural stability inspection, according to a Department of Buildings complaint filed Friday morning.

Two people inside the building were injured, with one sent to Wyckoff Hospital and another receiving medical attention at the scene, FDNY officials said.
Three firefighters went to Wyckoff Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
The fire's cause is still under investigation, FDNY officials said.
