6 NYC Subway Lines Will See Months-Long Service Cuts, MTA Says
Straphangers will see fewer rush hour trains and uptown commute times drag longer along several lines starting Monday, MTA officials warned.

NEW YORK CITY — A summer subway snarl could be awaiting New York City straphangers.
Trains along six subway lines — the A, B, C, D, F and M — will see service cuts starting Monday and lasting until July 3, MTA officials warned.
The service changes will range from fewer rush hour trains to longer uptown commutes as MTA crews replace switches along the Sixth Avenue B, D, F and M lines, transit officials said.

But while the switch work could make travel easier in the future, New Yorkers likely will have to contend with a cavalcade of assorted potential headaches for months right up until the July 4 holiday.
