GOP Train Crash: NYC Republican Dan Donovan On Board
The Staten Island Republican was not hurt, his spokeswoman said.

NEW YORK, NY — U.S. Rep. Dan Donovan, New York City's sole Republican member of Congress, was not injured when a train carrying several GOP representatives crashed in Virginia Wednesday morning. Donovan, of Staten Island, was on the train but came away unscathed, said his spokeswoman, Alexia Sikora.
"I am safe. First responders are on the scene and medical care is being administered to those in need of it," Donovan wrote in a Facebook post. "Please join me in keeping those injured in your prayers."
An Amtrak train taking Republican members of Congress to a retreat in West Virginia hit a truck around 11:20 a.m. near Crozet, Virginia, about 15 miles from Charlotesville.

One person was reportedly killed and another is in critical condition, but no one on the train was injured, Amtrak said in a statement to Patch. Few lawmakers were hurt, Sikora said.
"It seems that most are fine. Those who are injured are receiving care," she said.
