Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For NYC

Heavy rain is headed our way.

NEW YORK, NY – The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for New York City, warning that flooding is possible as heavy rain hits this weekend.

Moderate to heavy rain may produce urban and poor drainage flooding from late Saturday through Sunday night," the forecast reads.

Friday night:
Cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 39 by 3am. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Saturday:
Rain likely, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 50. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night:
Rain. Steady temperature around 46. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Sunday:
Rain. High near 52. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
