Police released surveillance images of an alleged suspect who shot Boyd on Monday.

NEW YORK CITY — New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd provided a health update on Wednesday and has spoken out for the first time since being shot outside a Midtown restaurant this past weekend.
In an Instagram story, Boyd is pictured in a hospital bed with the caption: “God is real, God is powerful!"
"I’m sorry, I have no words at the moment… Just grateful! I’m coming along, starting to breathe on my own now. Sincerely appreciate everyone!"

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in critical but stable condition.

Police released surveillance images of an alleged suspect who shot Boyd on Monday.

According to police, the suspect is described as a man with medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants and a black book bag.
No arrests have been made yet.
Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson II took to social media following the incident, asking his followers to “send prayers to my brother and teammate Kris Boyd and his family.”
“Lord please hold your healing hand over Kris and guide him back to health and safety,” Johnson wrote in the social media post.
An investigation remains ongoing.
