Kids Ride Free on NY Waterway Ferries This Holiday Season
Free Fares for Children Under 12 Beginning Friday, November 28 through Sunday, January 4

NY Waterway, which operates the largest ferry fleet between New Jersey and New York, announced that during this holiday season, kids will be able to once again ride free on all NY Waterway ferry routes between New Jersey and Manhattan starting Friday, November 28 through Sunday, January 4. A maximum of two children, under the age of 12, will be permitted to ride free when accompanied by one, single-paying adult rider.
The ferry is a family-friendly, economical, and traffic-free way to get to the city and enjoy all the holiday magic in New York City, including NY Waterway’s Holiday Market which will offer music, festive food, shopping, crafts, special events for families and visits with Santa to enjoy. The Holiday Market will be located at the Midtown Ferry Terminal (W39th St & 12th Ave), be free to attend and open on weekends (Friday through Sunday) from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Sunday, December 28.
Several New Jersey ferry terminals offer low-cost parking. Riders can also reach many NY Waterway terminals by the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Line, NJ TRANSIT (rail & bus), and free NY Waterway buses.
