Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Trailers Destroyed In NJ Fire
Seven trailers to be used in the iconic parade were engulfed by flames early Monday in Hudson County, New Jersey.
NEW YORK CITY — A fire in New Jersey destroyed seven trailers that were going to be used in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, according to reports.
The blaze unfolded early Monday in Hudson County at Royal Buses, a facility that takes buses and refurbishes them to be used as celebrity trailers and for special events, authorities said.
"Our units arrived on scene and found multiple buses on fire,” Kearny Fire Chief Joseph Mastandrea told Patch. “Members worked to extinguish the fire and prevent the fire from extending to nearby exposure buildings.”

Royal Buses representatives told NJ 101.5 that $4 million in vehicle were destroyed. Fire officials said they don’t yet know the blaze’s cause.
But parade watchers don’t need to worry about the Snoopy float being grounded — organizers will use other trailers to fill in for the loss, New Jersey 101.5 first reported.
