Man Charged In NYC Shooting Of NFL Player, Police Say
The suspect was taken into custody in Buffalo on Monday and was extradited to New York City to face charges.

NEW YORK CITY — A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with the shooting of Jets cornerback Kris Boyd in Midtown last month.
Frederick Green, of the Bronx, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said on Tuesday.
Green is accused of shooting the 29-year-old NFL player in the abdomen shortly after 2 a.m. in front of Sei Less on West 38th Street on Nov. 16.

The NYPD had been searching for the suspect and released surveillance images of the man shortly after the incident.

Boyd was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in critical but stable condition.
The Jets player shared on update on his condition in an Instagram story on Nov. 19.
The cornerback is pictured in a hospital bed with the caption: “God is real, God is powerful!"
"I’m sorry, I have no words at the moment… Just grateful! I’m coming along, starting to breathe on my own now. Sincerely appreciate everyone!"
A motive into the shooting hasn't been officially disclosed, but it may have stemmed from a dispute between two separate groups that included Boyd.
An investigation remains ongoing.
