Man Shot In Brownsville After Dispute, Police Say

The shooter fled the scene on Atlantic Avenue, the NYPD said.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A dispute led one man to shoot another in Brownsville Monday morning, police said. An unknown 30-year-old man shot the 48-year-old victim in the abdomen around 9:13 a.m. on Pleasant Place near Atlantic Avenue, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The shooter fled west on Atlantic Avenue on foot, police said. The other man was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and is not likely to die, the NYPD said.

Police are still investigating the incident.
